Scott Vezina joined the firm’s legal team in 2007 as an associate. He focuses his practice on litigation with an emphasis on medical malpractice, product liability, aviation disasters and commercial litigation. He has been a lead attorney in more than 35 jury and 40 non-jury trials.

Prior to joining Ratzan & Rubio, Mr. Vezina was a partner with Vezina & Gattuso in New Orleans, LA. Before this, he was a national panel counsel with CNA Insurance Company based in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Mr. Vezina also held a position as a senior associate with McIntosh, Sawran, Peltz & Cartaya in Fort Lauderdale, Fla. He previously served as special assistant attorney general for Louisiana.

Active in the legal community, Mr. Vezina is currently a member of the American Bar Association, the Florida and Louisiana State Bar Associations, the Broward County Bar Association, the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association and the Florida Bar’s Aviation Committee, the Florida Justice Association and the American Justice Association. He has also served as an adjunct professor of law at several law schools.

Mr. Vezina is a licensed pilot who flies various types of fixed wing aircrafts for pleasure.
